Hi to all the NEM Fans over there!!

Hmm... I don’t like talking about myself so much since it will be so annoying, it will be only a long list of things but I’m going to do a little presentation of myself so you’ll get to know a little about me.

So, nice to meet you, all the NEM fans, I’m Miriam - known also with the nickname NocturnalConcerto- and I’m 19 years old (in November will are 20) I come from and live in the North East of Italy, in a little city called Gorizia which borders with the Slovenian city of Nova Gorica.

If you ask me about my passion and hobbies I tell you firstly music, music is my life and without it I cannot live, I’m not joking, really! For me the music it’s a drug! I have no boundaries, I listen all from 70’,80’ music to metal, that is my main interest. My favourite band, who made me discover the metal universe, are Nightwish. Doing a little parenthesis, I’m proud to tell you that I have seen them two times here in Italy, one time in Milan and the second time in Pordenone. I tell you this info because it is a little bit connected to Nemesea. After that comes watching television; I like watching American telefilm like Doctor House – Medical Division, ER, Criminal Minds, Heroes and some Italian fiction. But if I must tell you my preterit I’ll surely say ER. After the music and the TV, I like reading a lot. I read all kinds of stuff, from the book to the magazine but only things that interest me.

When Manda asked us to write a blog for the site, I joined immediately, I’m very excited and at the same thrilled to be part of this! I think that Internet connects passion, reality and people, if you think about this it’s fantastic and some times, thinking about ten years ago, an utopia. Ok, my introduction is finished; let’s start to talk about Nemesea. I discovered Nemesea (I don’t remember the year!!) through an user of End of Innocence, the Official Nightwish Italian Forum (I’m an assiduous user here) who is connect also the fanclub, that’s why I told you that Nightwish are connected to this story, but let’s continue, I’ve discovered Nemesea during the Sellaband era and I immediately bought a copy of “In Control” to try out, in search for new music.

I’ve listened to it, but wasn’t really excited at first - I was tempted to put away in my cupboard and never to listen to it again- but when the same user tell me : “Buy also Mana!”, so I did and after listening to it I understood the metamorphosis and the value of this band. For the debut we have this pure gem of symphonic gothic metal (in my opinion underestimate by the fans and the media) and for the second one an alternative rock a bit difficult to label it.

Only the great bands like Tristania, The Gathering and Theatre Of Tragedy were able to doing an evolution like this, take for example The Gathering from a melodic doom metal passed away to an alternative rock.

During the listening of “Mana” I was totally blown away, I can say that album is one of my favorite albums ever. Magnificent choirs, ethereal ambient made this album a masterpiece. Sometimes I ask myself if Nemesea will be in the future play all “Mana” live... I think that’s impossible. “In Control” was a difficult turning point to accept from the gothic sound of “Mana” to a bare alternative rock, it was difficult but I have to say that I love “In Control” too. If you like a band, someone used to say, you must like its evolutions and changes. When I like a band, I always try to promote them and this is what I do for Nemesea with the NEM-team. I spam into MySpace Profile every time the NEM mails that Manda send to us and primarily buy the records from the official shop.

I really enjoyed the latest release by Nemesea, the “Pure live @P3”, I really like it!! An alternative music project that I really enjoyed a lot, I was really curious to know how they played the couple of “Mana” song present in the CD and I wasn’t disappoint at all. Now I really can’t wait for the new album, any news about this, guys?? I’m very happy to know Manda & Sonny and also be part of their universe, contribute to this and help to spread their music.

Sooooo, now I must go, off to the post office, you know, must pay some bills and put money into my rechargeable card for doing a bit of music shopping here on the Internet. Hope you liked my blog, sorry if it’s very long but I wish you had fun to reading this two lines from a crazy fan. Can’t wait to read more NEM Blog like mine too, c’mon people!!!!!!!!!!
