Weblog
Hi everybody!
So, I also got very excited when Manda told the NEM-team about this weblog. I like sharing my experiences, and I love reading other people's experiences! It's curious to see how people have different experiences with the same things...
Well, so here is mine. People usually call me Redd. I'm 22, and I'm from Brazil (like Larissa). I study Literature, but I always loved Music and I think Music takes most of my time, since I decided to study it, too.
Like many people, I had a "dark" time in my life... hehehe Meaning, there was a time when I liked to listen to heavy metal, "gothic" artists and wear black clothes. I loved bands like Nightwish and After Forever. But after a while listening to the same things, we get tired and bored... And I'm the kind of person that likes to find new things to listen all the time. Really. Unfortunately, it took some time before a friend told me to listen to a new Dutch band (I confess, I don't remember when... heehe) called Nemesea. They had a good album, called Mana. I really loved it. Seriously. They "were" good musicians, with good music. And they had something different, I don't really think they could be put together with those 'gothic metal' bands I used to listen.
When I really like an artist, I like to write and tell him what I think. It's good when people praise our work, so it's also good to praise other people's work. I got very surprised when the guys answered me, it was really cool to see how much they cared about my opinion. Sometimes I talk to them by myspace, email, whatever... So I wanted to spread their music to whoever I knew. (I really LOVE to show new bands/artists to people... If you want to find something new, just talk to me! hehehe)
Sometime later, I began to change my musical taste; I began to have almost no patience to metal, and even less to 'gothic' and 'symphonic' things. But I didn't know what I wanted, so I kept listening to what I knew and what I found... Again, I got surprised when Nemesea announced changes. They had a contract to Sellaband, and they would make a new album as soon as the "believers" bought all the parts there. Of course I bought mine! And when they made the first listening session live on the website, I really enjoyed what I was listening. I wanted something new, and I found it!!!! Really cool!

Time passed, the guys (and girl!) kept working hard, improving their work. I didn't got tired, but I wanted something new (again). So they made a super-concert with surround 7.0. I was not there to watch them, and I could find only three videos on youtube. That was enough, they were soooooo cool!!! So, time passes and they keep surprising me with good things. That's why I love them! :)

(P.S.: I'm writing this anxiously waiting to receive their new album. Of course I've pre ordered mine!)
