Nemesea @ Gothic Xmas fest
The moment I opened my eyes after a terrible night (I didn’t sleep at all) I knew it would be a long day! I was really sick! My head ached, my nose was running and my throat hurt badly! But nevertheless I was really looking forward to this gig, so after convincing HJ that I would be feeling better during the day, we prepared for what would turn out to be a wonderful second Christmas day!
We were very much looking forward to this gig, although we knew our music would be a bit different from the other two bands that would be playing there today; After Forever and Epica.
Martijn would also come with us today. We were all very pleased that he wanted to spend his Christmas with us.
In Hardenberg everything was organized extremely well. They prepared a really good lunch for everyone and the sound check of the bands went really smooth, although there was a LOT of gear on stage.
At half past four it was Showtime. I was a little bit nervous because of my voice, but the second I entered the stage that feeling was gone.
The audience was great and we played for 45 minutes. Mostly songs from In Control, but we also played something old but new (Lucifer in a different arrangement) and something new but old (No Good from the Prodigy. New to us, but it is a very old song!). It was amazing!

After the show we talked to a lot of people that saw the show. They were very enthusiastic. The people of AF and Epica also came to the merchandise stands and there were taken a lot of pictures, even a couple with Simone, Floor and myself. It was nice seeing those girls again. (Man, I’m small! Even Simone is bigger than I am.)

At 10 o’clock everyone left so it was time to go and pack. After saying goodbye to everyone we went home!
We want to thank everyone that was at Hardenberg. The people that worked that day to make this xmas fest a wonderful happening as well as the audience!
Thank you all!
Keep checking our Youtube profile. There will be a video about this day soon!
Have a great 2008!!!
Love,
Manda
